Necklace is cute, but is kind of lackluster. Not the very best good quality but okay for or much less. Anything at all a lot more would be overpriced.

I purchased 1 of these wonderful chains for underneath 7 bucks. I had wanted it for a specific pendant. I was really curious as to what I would get because the value was sooo very low.

The package just arrived and the necklace comes in a great beige gift box which reads “Wilson &amp Son” in gold script and then within the box, the necklace is in a little ziploc sort little baggie, along with a very great hunting leather/pleather? beige pouch which also has “Wilson &amp Sons” scripted in gold lettering. It was surely a nice presentation for the price tag.

It does not come in the tan cardboard box with cotton as shown in the photos right here on the item page. Also, my chain did NOT have the little circle hanging on it stamped “925″ which is shown in the 4th picture here on the product page.

I take the necklace out of the little pouch and am amazed by the thickness of the chain and the nice substantial clasp. This chain has great heft to it and looks astounding for the cost. It undoubtedly DOES NOT look like a seven dollar chain. It shines beautifully, has no kinks or flaws and will be definitely best for the pendant I planned on placing on it. The clasp is substantial, but when seeking closely at it, it does have a quite cheap search to it. The clasp does not look like genuine sterling.

Now, the “but” comes in.. I am actually pondering wether or not this is really genuine sterling silver. It is almost too shiny, as well silver (if that tends to make sense?) The clasp is not stamped. The only “925″ stamp is found on a little ring which is connected to an additional ring and then that ring is linked to the clasp. The end caps on the chain (where is connects to the rings and then the clasp) are also not stamped. I must state that each and every chain I have ever owned, wether (white)gold or silver, have been stamped on the clasps as nicely and also on the endcaps on chains that do have the endcaps.

So, even though it appears great and seemed to be a super steal of a offer, I am left wondering if it is true or not.

The price was astounding and I suppose even for a “fake” chain it even now appears excellent, nevertheless I would have by no means willingly/knowingly purchased a “fake” chain.

Nontheless, I did come back quickly and acquire 2 much more for my daughters as soon as I opened the package and saw how great it looked (before noticing lack of credible stamps). This is a wonderfully sized chain for pendants or charms – to replace the extremely thin chains that typically come with them. I will also mention that when I did location the second order, the chains had been a dollar less pricey than just a few days ago when I purchased the initial a single.

I did do a websearch for “Wilson &amp Son” and there is a jewelry shop in NY, so I guess it is possible that the chains are real, assuming they came from this jeweller. They do have a web site which is “below construction” at the second and inoperable. The scripting on the box and pouch does match the scripting on the website in their logo.

General, to be truthful, at this value these chains would be wonderful to stock up on for future use, IF they are in fact genuine sterling silver. The price tag is superb and they do look great. I guess I will have to wait and see if it turns colours, and so on.

UPDATE one/four/twelve – THIS CHAIN HAS Started TURNING MY WHITE TSHIRT COLLARS GREEN. This is not standard for a sterling chain, in my encounter, unless it would come into get in touch with with specific chemical substances. Of program those chemical substances are NOT on my skin or clothes, so there is no very good cause as to why it should be turning colors on me unless it is not real sterling.

I am quite pleased with this chain. Amazon’s description is entirely correct. The gold chain is really properly created and long lasting. The gold chain has a good mass (it is NOT thin or flimsy) and the chain reflects light properly. I extremely advise it if you searching for a top quality Italian gold chain in this size.
